Getting around

Spanish high-speed rail (Renfe AVE) + FlixBus; buses in Portugal (Rede Expressos).

What to know before you go

  • Alhambra tickets are limited and sell out fast; buy from the official site the moment your date is fixed.
  • Renfe AVE gets very cheap when bought early; the Seville–Granada bus is also practical.
  • Do Sintra as a day trip from Lisbon and leave early in the morning (afternoons are crowded).
